AVG Technologies which is also one of the best antivirus and internet security solution provider, releases its 2012 version antivirus software named as AVG Antivirus 9.0. There aren’t many new features released with the 2012 version, but some of the old features are increased in performance and also the protection has been enhanced. The three best features that we found with AVG antivirus 9.0 are :
1. Superior Phishing Protection :
This is one of the two new feature that were released with AVG Antivirus 9.0. what this feature does is, it blocks web sites that try to steal your personal details, account information’s and your credit or debit card numbers. Mostly phishing web sites are knows as fake web sites. They look the same like the original web site that you normally visit. For an example, you alleyways visit www.ebay.com to buy items and stuff. By mistakenly you typed www.eby.com and it still looks the same as the original eBay web site. And you enter your credit card details or other account information and therefore your details are stolen by a fake web sites. What AVG does is it blocks such kinds of web sites and secures your browsing world.
2. LinkScanner Search-Shield :
This is also another good feature that we came across AVG Antivirus 9.0. This feature was found on the old version but it only scanned search results. On the 9.0 version a new feature has been added so that the protection does two tasks at the same time. The first function is, it filters your search results from harmful dangerous web sites. So any type of word you search on Google, yahoo, msn, will be filtered as Viewable Web site or Contains Harmful Scripts And Browser Exploits. The secondary function is, it collects all the links in the web page that you are currently viewing and scans the pages that it links to and reports to you whether its safe for you to click the link.
3. Multi layer Scanning :
The file and folder scanning system of AVG Antivirus 9.0 has been enhanced. This works on multi layer’s giving your better protection. How it works is, first it scans in-depth while monitoring any change in file system while scanning your PC. Because some viruses change their place of hide when scanning starts. And secondly it does a lite second scan so any missed viruses and other kinds of malware’s are detected.

Overall, AVG Antivirus 9.0 is a very good antivirus software to provide your PC the protection it desires. With is advanced scanning system and web filtering features. there is no way your PC can be attacked by a virus, spyware, or other kinds of malware.
